Equality and Diversity

At Malvin's Close Academy, we are committed to creating a truly inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are. From the moment children join us, we actively explore and promote equality and diversity as a vital part of school life.

Our aim is to nurture children who grow into confident, compassionate individuals - children who are curious about the world around them and open-minded about people from different walks of life. Whether differences relate to faith, culture, gender, race, sexual orientation, or background, we encourage our pupils to ask questions, show empathy and embrace diversity.

Equality and diversity are embedded throughout our curriculum, having been thoughtfully mapped into our curriculum intent. Each of the protected characteristics is taught explicitly through our PSHE curriculum.
